The answer:

The equation for a circle is:

(x - h)² + (y - k)² = r²

(h,k) are the (x,y) coordinate values for the center of the circle. r is the radius of the circle.

Your equation:

(x + 5)² + (y + 7)² = 212

r² = 212

Take the square root of each side of the equation

√(r²) = √(212)

r = 14.560219778561036542194604983054

the radius of the circle is: 14.56
