The question:

evaluate 1.1!+2.2!+3.3!+......+n.n!


The answer:

1*1!+2*2!+3*3!...n*n!=(n+1)! -1

Try an example:

Suppose n = 4

1*1!+2*2!+3*3!+4*4! = 1*1 + 2*2*1 + 3*3*2*1 + 4*4*3*2*1

1+4+18+96 = 119

Now try the general solution, (n+1)! -1

(n+1)! -1 = (4+1)!-1

= 5!-1
= 5*4*3*2*1 -1
= 119
