Answer:

A. There are a couple of ways you can find the center of a circle by paper folding.

1) Fold the circle in half from two different directions. The intersection of the creases on the paper is the center of the circle.

2) If the circle is drawn on a piece of paper:

2a - Fold the lower right corner of the paper to a point on the circumference of the circle. Draw a chord through the two points where the edges of the paper cross the circle. Fold the lower left corner of the paper to a point on the circumference of the circle. Draw a chord through the two points where the edges of the paper cross the circle. The intersection of the two chords is the paper is the center of the circle.

B. How many lines of symmetry does a circle have?

A line of symmetry means that the image on one side of the line of symmetry is an exact reflection of the image on the other side of the line.

Therefore, ANY line which bisects the circle and passes through the center of the circle is a line of symmetry.

A circle has an infinite number of lines of symmetry.
