Question:

CAN ANYONE PROVIDE ME THE SOLUTION OF THIS EQUATION.

x2-xy+15y=0

Looking forward for quick and positive response.

Answer:

x² - xy + 15y = 0

this is a quadratic equation

the general form is:

ax² + bx + c = 0

you can use the quadratic formula to solve for x

x = [-b ± √(b² - 4ac)]/2a

1st solution:

x² - xy + 15y = 0

x = [-(-y) + √(y²-4 * 1 * 15y)]/(2*1)

x = [y + √(y² - 60y)]/2

2nd solution:

x = [y - √(y² - 60y)]/2

the final answer is:

x ∈ {[y + √(y² - 60y)]/2 , [y - √(y² - 60y)]/2}

Thanks for writing.
