The question:

by Nely
(Miami, FL)

x^2 – 4 = 0 square root

The answer:

x^2 – 4 = 0

Add 4 to each side of the equation.

x^2 – 4 + 4 = 0 + 4

x^2 + 0 = 4

x^2 = 4

Take the square root of each side of the equation.

sqrt(x^2) = sqrt(4)

x = ± 2

The final answer is: x = ± 2

(There are two solutions: x = +2 and x = -2)

Thanks for writing.
