What is the prime factorization of 312 using dot?

Answer:

A raised dot is simply another way to show that two (or more) numbers are to be multiplied. The raised dot is a substitute for the times sign, x, when the numbers are written horizontally.

For example, 15 x 10 can be written:

15 x 10 (using a multiplication sign, x)

or

15 * 10 (using an asterisk, *)

or

15 ∙ 10 (using a raised dot, ∙)

You can type the raised dot on your keyboard as follows:

Hold down the “right” ALT key, type 8729, then release the “right” ALT key.

(The Num Lock on your keyboard must be turned on for this work. In addition, you must use the numeric key pad on your keyboard to type the 8729. The number keys across the top of the keyboard will not work.)

the prime factors of 312 in raised dot format are:

312 = 2 ∙ 2 ∙ 2 ∙ 3 ∙ 13

Prime factors of 312 in exponent format using raised dots are:

312 = 2³ ∙ 3 ∙ 13
