Rationalize the Denominator - √(125x³/6)
by: Staff

Question:

Rationalize the denominator and simplify your answer: square root (125x3/6)

Answer:

√(125x³/6)

= √(5³x³/6)

= √(5⁽²⁺¹⁾x⁽²⁺¹⁾/6)

= √(5²5¹x²x¹/6)

= √(5²x²5¹x¹/6)

= √(5²x²) * √(5¹x¹)/(√6)

= 5x * √(5x)/(√6)

= 5x * [√(5x)/(√6)] * (√6)/(√6)

= 5x * [√(5x) * (√6)] / [(√6) * (√6)]

= 5x * [√(5x) * (√6)] / √(6 * 6)

= 5x * [√(5x) * (√6)] / √(6²)

= 5x * [√(5x) * (√6)] / 6

= 5x * √(5x * 6) / 6

= 5x * √(30x) / 6

>>> the final answer is: [5x√(30x)] / 6
